Good lord, Abs.
What are you trying to accomplish with this thread other than wasting time?

And you probably thought it was just OCD.

Obsessive compulsive maniac with more than a  touch of attention deficit disorder. That's what I think.

Holy cow! When is Massachusetts gonna put up a "no vacany" sign?!?  Is there any room left for newcomers!?

BTW, the town in red is Newburyport. I haven't gone through the myspace profile of that town yet.  I just want to show you how densly clustered the cities/towns are!  I guess I am not used to that kind of mentality. Out west, every town is over 20 plus miles away or further (unless you live in San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles or Seattle.

Those are the people who keep Wikipedia going.  Speaking just for myself, I like this thread.  (And I like Absfan's "girls of...[insert name of tiny little New England town here]".)

Wasn't Louie Wyman governor at one point?  He was one of the last of the great old Northeastern moderate Republicans.

Have you been to Mass?  Every square inch of the state is called part of a "town" which has the same meaning as "township" in the rest of the country.  Outside of the Boston area, which occupies a third of the state if you count very generously, the state is mostly rural and the actual towns are little hamlets surrounded by beautiful countryside - all of which is considered, officially, to be part of the "town."
