There was a lady from the Obama-Hitler-Marx-Mao-Spencer-and-Heidi administration who said there would be enough flu vaccine for everyone.  So I figure I'll wait for everyone else to get a vaccination and then I won't need one.

The flu shot is bullshit, always has been. It hasn't been shown to prevent didly. What you are guaranteed is a dose of mercury, formaldehyde, antibiotics, squalene and other assorted neurotoxins and toxics directly into your bloodstream. No thanks.
The 2 people I know who got the flu shot this year both got ill for at least a week.
(Antibiotics are good things)

Also, logical fallacy, getting flu shot then getting sick does not mean causation.

Antibiotics are not a good thing injected into your blood while they have no effect on the flu, which is a virus.

Now it can also be argued that the vaccine prevented them from coming down with the flu that they were vaccinated against but were they better off because they came down with one illness instead of another?

I think the flu kills about 36,000 people per annum in the US...I think the % of those who have adverse reactions and or resulting illness from vaccination is around 2% ( I have to research that but the figure sticks in my mind).

I had the Asian flu when I was in gradeschool...I had to be hospitalized when my temperature approached 104....I have had an annual flu shot every year since and have never had the flu again.

I think I'm gonna trust my doc on this one and not Gerbil  Wink

It would not be reported if they got sick from the shot. First off, not many people go to the doctor when they get a cold or flu because they know there isn't anything a doctor can do for them anyway.
Plus, trusting your doctor is the dumbest thing in the world to do. Thats a good way to end up 6 feet under. Research, get some knowledge, then make an informed decision. Many doctors are morons who only know what the AMA force feeds them.
Go to http://www.mercola.com and read up about the flu shot and swine flu shot.

I'm with Gerbil on this one. I've never gotten a flu shot and I've rarely if ever gotten the flu. I've had friends who have gotten the flu shot and gotten sick as a result. Whethor their sickness was a direct result of the vaccine itself or whethor it was the result of the vaccine overworking the bodies defense system and thus making it more susceptible to other illnesses I don't know. But in either case had the person not received the vaccine they wouldn't have gotten their sickness. Now it can also be argued that the vaccine prevented them from coming down with the flu that they were vaccinated against but were they better off because they came down with one illness instead of another?
Getting a cold because you got the flu shot is more preferable to getting the flu. Also, getting the flu shot isn't just for you, it's called herd immunity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herd_immunity

It's part of the reason Smallpox is pretty much extinct.

.

And yet 38,000 people die from the flu each year.
The flu shot is bullshit.

Ah I see where you going with it. Irregardless, the content of the flu shot in high dosage can be dangerous, but the amount that is in the flu shot means nothing. It's out of our body within days.

The herd immunity doesn't exist for the flu because so many don't get the flu shot.

You had a class in logic? That's awesome, I don't think they offer one, it's probably just absorbed into other classes.

Think again. My first two years of college were at a JC in Long Beach. Take a look at what they offered then and still offer now. Click on the link below.

Long Beach City College
Introduction to Logic - Philosophy 12 - Course Syllabus
Term: Fall 2009
Section: 70227: TTh 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon
PCC– FF104

You ought to do a little research, Sirius, before for you call bullshit.

Call bullshit? I said I didn't think there was one at my school, I didn't question if there was one at you're school... Sorry, my fault, should have been more clear.

Thanks for the clarification. Your first post didn't indicate you were referring only to what was offered at your school. It sounded like you were being sarcastic.

Nope again. Its in your bloodstream, it takes longer than that. Plus, the neurotoxins in the vaccine can cause problems for years, sometimes permanently.

Then perhaps you're one of the lucky ones. However, being an MD, he most likely knows nothing about prevention and will reach for a prescription immediately. I still say you need to beware and do some research.
