Uhh, you asked this question already and Sean answered it. Seemed a pretty definitive response to me.

I've thought about trying a db curl strength test as a standard part of shoots here at the house...can't transport heavy dumbbells when I fly and when I'm shooting outside on the go...but I could do something like that and just might

regarding the planks, I'll post the part number so everybody can try them at home if they want

Aluminum bends quite easily,  but without a way to control the thickening inside and thinning outside of the piece they would just snap.  Aluminum is quite brittle and Mike using Galvanized (although you don't need galvanized unless you plan on having the ladies stand in rain to do the bending and then wanting to not have your planks corrode) steel provides more resistance and are much more resistant to breaking.

Aluminum is a silver, low density (2.7 g / cc) metal and is used for a wide variety of commercial applications. Unalloyed Aluminum Composite Material has ductility, shows moderate strength, and is very strong against corrosion under most circumstances. Resistance to corrosion leads to the handling of foods and chemicals and their use in building applications.
